Rule for Recruitment of Outstanding Academics to Serve in Chung Hua University

Article I The rule is prescribed specifically for recruitment and
encouragement of outstanding academics to Chung Hua
University for works of teaching and research.
Article II The rule applies to outstanding academics with qualification either higher than Assistant Professorship or Ph.D. students just graduated from renowned domestic and foreign universities
Article III The Following favorable treatment is offered to newly employed outstanding full-time academics, provided completing the university’s due appraisal process before approval by the President, in his/her first two-year service in the university:
1. In addition to salary conforming to related regulation, extra NT$120,000 of stipend for teaching as well as research and NT$50,000 for research equipment will be offered annually.
2. Up to NT$50,000 exclusive airfare refund, provided application along with valid evidences or travel agent’s receipt, for academics who had accepted teaching offer before returned to Taiwan from abroad.
3. One year (domestic) or two years (returning from abroad) free lodging at in-campus practice hotel for academics residing outside Taoyuan, Hsinchu and Miaoli area.
4. Reduced teaching hour in the first year.
5. Considerable stipend for attending international conference and essay publishing.
6. Priority administrative assistance.
Article IV Except retirement by age or Chair Professor, faculty members whoever received teaching as well as research stipend should serve at least five years in the university. Full amount of the stipend received should be returned to the university for academics short of five-year service.
Article V The rule becomes effective after passing by the administrative meeting. Same as when revised.
